What happens after you file?

DBPR will review your application and issue your brokerage license.

Step 1

DBPR Processes (2–4 weeks)

After mailing, DBPR reviews your application for completeness. Processing typically takes 2–4 weeks. We monitor status on your behalf and alert you to any deficiencies.

Step 2

License Number Issued (CQ…)

Once approved, DBPR issues your company a brokerage license number beginning with CQ. This is your official Florida real estate brokerage ID. You'll receive this by mail and in the DBPR portal.

Step 3

Start Operating

With your CQ license in hand, your agents can register under your brokerage. You can open your escrow account, put your sign up, and start listing properties under your company name.
