When is RE 13 Filed?

Every time a broker's relationship with a brokerage changes, DBPR requires Form RE 13. Here are the three scenarios we handle.

Starting a Relationship

When you hire a Broker of Record, we file RE 13 checking Broker Request for Multiple Licenses. Your company gets an active qualifying broker on file with DBPR. Fee: $77.

Ending the Relationship

When the arrangement ends, we file RE 13 with Become Inactive. The broker is removed from your DBPR record. No filing fee — but your license is suspended until a replacement is in place.

Being Replaced

If you find a new broker, they file their own RE 13 to qualify your company. Both the removal and the addition can be filed simultaneously, so there's no gap in your active broker status.
